Misfits In Marketing was founded by Ron Gerber, an award-winning 14+ year veteran in search engine marketing, e-commerce web design, eCommerce operations, direct marketing, and mail order/catalog operations.
In 1992, Ron started Savanna Jones, a traditional mail order catalog company targeting the automotive aftermarket industry, selling parts & accessories directly to Jeep and SUV owners. In early 1994, before the Internet craze took off, Ron was at the forefront of the web revolution, ahead of competitors, bringing Savanna Jones online and morphing it into a highly successful eCommerce site. After eight years of growing the company into a successful multi-million dollar brand, with customers in over 55 countries worldwide, Ron sold Savanna Jones to their largest competitor.
Due to a limited budget, Ron wore many hats when starting Savanna Jones. From running the daily operations to personally designing and producing the print catalogs (4 of which won "Best Mail Order Catalog" awards), from merchandising and marketing, on to designing and developing the company's e-commerce sites, Ron gained a tremendous wealth of hands-on experience on multiple fronts:
Since 2001, Ron has been actively involved in eCommerce development, branding, internet marketing, and affiliate marketing, consulting with various companies as well as working on personal projects. Through Misfits In Marketing, Ron works with select clients, helping increase and/or improve their Internet presence and online business, primarily via SEM (search engine marketing) services and high-end eCommerce site development. As a certified Google Adwords Professional, Ron excels at creating and managing your PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns for (nearly) immediate results.
